We are an MIT incubated venture building a co-pilot that we believe will prevent cardiovascular disease by identifying risk factors in young adults. We plan to use gaming dynamics to influence user behavior and ensure we can detect signs earlier and keep users on a healthier track.
More importantly, we are passionate about democratizing healthcare and wanting to make an impact to the healthcare sector in India and the world.
The journey begins in 2009, when the founder began helping an NGO in New Delhi, India. He was working with a mobile health truck that was dispensing physician consultations and free medicine post-consult. After observing a man who came on the van and asked the doctor to help him, he realized how grave the situation really is.
A middle-aged man in his 50s, suffering from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and Type 2 diabetes, visited the mobile clinic. The physician asked him not to kill himself, which confused him. She then reminded him of his multiple health conditions and asked a simple question - "What do you eat every day?"
Shy but truthful, he revealed that he could only afford to eat fried food on his way back from work because he did not have the time to eat a healthier meal due to his workplace location and financial commitments. The doctor warned him to change his eating habits soon, or he would not live another year to be around or even earn for his family.
This moment stuck with us for a very long time. We realized that the problems surrounding the already mysterious healthcare landscape are much graver than we had anticipated. The private sector in India is focusing on investing in the much-needed "traditional" infrastructure to expand access, reach, and quality care.
The government, which already has the behemoth task of supporting 1.5 billion people, will find it all too difficult to take on this objective alone. There are plenty of NGOs to go around, but we believe that these are band-aids and not the cure. So, EZBEAT came into existence to help bridge this gap that currently exists.
To create India's first end-to-end database for identifying and preventing cardiovascular disease (CVD), gradually scaling this up to other non-communicable chronic conditions. Our co-pilot combines data from fitness trackers, partnered accredited diagnostic labs, and lifestyle information through our 30-day heart health competition where users participate with friends and family.
We are building our very own "Heart Score" that screens the risk profile of a user and builds a system of monitoring, measuring, encouraging, and accessing all the resources required for a user to keep their heart healthy.
We are training our LLM model on this end-to-end database to improve predictive capabilities and identify risks early. We intend to use this model and deploy it globally once we can comprehensively prove the system's success in India.
Using "fun" and "engaging" behavioral influences to help users stay healthy, avoid high out-of-pocket costs of treating cardiovascular diseases, adding 10 more "useful" years of life back to their lifespan, and avoid the psychological stress associated with this disease.
Join us in building the very first end-to-end database for predicting and preventing cardiovascular disease by identifying risks early and creating sustainable, enjoyable paths to heart health.
